This Sweet Marie book nook kit includes 242 pre-cut, pre-painted wooden and cardboard pieces, printed paper sheets for the menus and posters, a battery box, a sanding stick and an illustrated, step-by-step manual.

No glue is needed, the pieces slot together. The arched glass door opens on a brass handle so you can reach the shelves inside, then closes again to keep the dust off. The battery case is hidden inside the structure, and a touch switch built into the little terrace table turns the LEDs on.

Your DIY Book nook Kit includes everything you need to get started: a detailed instruction guide, cutting tools, crafting papers, solid plywood sheets, and LED lights. Due to shipping restrictions, we can't include glue and batteries with your order.

The recommended age is simply a guideline, many children ages 6 to 8 have successfully built their book nooks and miniature dollhouses on their own, simply by following the instructions provided in the boxes. If your child is used to building with Legos, they'll manage without too much difficulty.
