Once assembled, it slips between two books on a shelf, where its facade imitates the cover of an old grimoire. Its dark brown and gold tones pair well with wooden furniture, burgundy or dark green.

Glue-free assembly: everything holds by slotting together. Glue isn't needed, it can just help hold a few pieces in place.

LED lighting: several light points come on with a single touch and light both floors, enough to turn this book nook into a night light in the evening.

Miniature props: armchair, gramophone, birdcage, hourglass and miniature books furnish the library.

Book nook details

Downstairs is the reading room, where a white cat has settled near a large red armchair. On the writing table, a quill, round glasses and a cup of tea wait for the reader's return. Right beside it, the calendar is stuck on February 29th, a date that only exists one year in four. The right wall is almost entirely taken up by a great decorated clock. Lower down, a birdcage sits on a pile of books, next to a gramophone. Upstairs, the library overflows: the shelves are full and books pile up onto the chair. Between the frames on the wall, you'll also spot an hourglass and a little scale.

Your DIY Book nook Kit includes everything you need to get started: a detailed instruction guide, cutting tools, crafting papers, solid plywood sheets, and LED lights. Due to shipping restrictions, we can't include glue and batteries with your order.

Can I get replacement pieces if something breaks or is missing?

If you have a missing or broken piece, you can contact us and we'll send you a replacement.
Please note that the replacement process may take some time since we're not a large company and we need to individually manufacture missing pieces, which can take a few weeks. But our team will be there to provide you with all the necessary information via email.

Is it too complicated for younger children to assemble?

The recommended age is simply a guideline, many children ages 6 to 8 have successfully built their book nooks and miniature dollhouses on their own, simply by following the instructions provided in the boxes. If your child is used to building with Legos, they'll manage without too much difficulty.

Are the book nook pieces dangerous for my child?

Our book nooks are made of wood, which is completely safe for children and adults. They are certified to safety standards and are free of high-concern chemicals.

Do I need additional tools to assemble my miniature book nook?

No, you have all the necessary tools to assemble your book nook without difficulty. However, batteries are not included due to customs and shipping reasons. Check the specifications section to see what batteries your book nook requires.
