Included Components

Inside this book nook kit, you'll find pre-cut, pre-printed wood sheets, the printed stained-glass sheet, the illustrated manual, the light and music module with its wiring, a small screwdriver, sandpaper, the fabric rose under its dome and the clear dust cover that protects the scene.

Glue-free assembly: the pieces slot together. You don't need glue, though a little can help hold a few pieces in place.

Music and rotation: touch the switch once to turn on the LEDs. Touch it again to start the music and set the couple turning in front of the stained glass. The tune is an excerpt from You Raise Me Up.

LED lighting: the chandelier under the gable, the ballroom behind the stained glass and the fire in the fireplace downstairs all light up.

Opening dresser: the small dresser's doors and drawers really open.

The recommended age is simply a guideline, many children ages 6 to 8 have successfully built their book nooks and miniature dollhouses on their own, simply by following the instructions provided in the boxes. If your child is used to building with Legos, they'll manage without too much difficulty.
