Book nook details

The shop front reads like a real Japanese street corner. A red paper lantern hangs at the edge of the gray tiled roof, above a frieze of family-crest medallions. By the entrance, a carved wooden sign and a menu board list the dishes of the day, next to a poster selling chashu ramen for 980 yen. On the counter, a teapot and soy sauce bottles wait between the wooden stools, while a tabby cat naps on one of them. The Open plaque hangs by the door, and shelves of bowls and a little carved wooden globe fill the back alcove.
