Included Components

This book nook kit includes the pre-cut, pre-printed wood sheets, the printed decor sheets, the illustrated manual, the LED module with its battery box, tweezers, a frosted rod, a chain and two hoops to hang the chandelier, and a sticker sheet.

Glue-free assembly: the pieces slot together. You don't need glue, though a little can help hold a few pieces in place.

LED lighting: a touch button on the side of the case lights all three floors. The battery box is hidden in the case.

Miniature accessories: the tyrannosaurus skeleton, the triceratops, the palm tree, the clear display cases, the chandelier and the paintings are all in the box.

Book nook details

Behind a facade with columns and a "FOSSIL MUSEUM" plaque, you find a small natural history museum. On the first floor, a wooden tyrannosaurus skeleton stands on a rocky base, next to a palm tree and a small triceratops. A wooden staircase leads upstairs, where a railed gallery runs along display cases filled with fossils and skulls. On the walls, paintings show dinosaurs in the landscapes they lived in. At the very top, a clear chandelier hangs from the ceiling, above cases holding ammonites. The sides of the case are printed with arched windows, like a real museum building.

The recommended age is simply a guideline, many children ages 6 to 8 have successfully built their book nooks and miniature dollhouses on their own, simply by following the instructions provided in the boxes. If your child is used to building with Legos, they'll manage without too much difficulty.
