The Library of Books book nook closes up like an old leather-bound book, its title stamped in gold on the cover. Open, it shows a collector's reading room on two levels. A tall pointed-arch window lights the whole room, and a wooden railing runs along the upper floor.

Included Components

This book nook kit comes with the pre-cut, pre-printed wooden pieces, the illustrated manual and the LED lighting kit.

Glue to buy: this is the only kit in our catalog that the maker says needs glue. Get some liquid silicone-type glue before you start. It isn't included because customs regulations don't allow it to ship.

Book-shaped outside: the two sides you see on the shelf look like an old binding, down to the title and gold lines. Once shelved, the kit passes for one more thick volume.

LED lighting: the light comes from the top and from the desk lamp. It shines through the pointed-arch window and brings out the colored spines of the bindings.

Miniature accessories: the lectern, the telescope, the pendulum clock, the framed map and the medals come with the kit.

⚠️ Please note: due to customs regulations, glue and batteries (2 × AA) are not included. This kit needs liquid silicone-type glue: remember to get some.

Your DIY Book nook Kit includes everything you need to get started: a detailed instruction guide, cutting tools, crafting papers, solid plywood sheets, and LED lights. Due to shipping restrictions, we can't include glue and batteries with your order.

If you have a missing or broken piece, you can contact us and we'll send you a replacement.

Is it too complicated for younger children to assemble?

The recommended age is simply a guideline, many children ages 6 to 8 have successfully built their book nooks and miniature dollhouses on their own, simply by following the instructions provided in the boxes. If your child is used to building with Legos, they'll manage without too much difficulty.

Are the book nook pieces dangerous for my child?

Our book nooks are made of wood, which is completely safe for children and adults. They are certified to safety standards and are free of high-concern chemicals.

Do I need additional tools to assemble my miniature book nook?

No, you have all the necessary tools to assemble your book nook without difficulty. However, batteries are not included due to customs and shipping reasons. Check the specifications section to see what batteries your book nook requires.
