The Old Lane of Time book nook recreates a retro Chinese lane, 1980s style: laundry dries on the balconies and an antenna hangs off the wall. At the foot of the buildings, you build a grocery full of candies and cans, plus a little breakfast stand with its steam baskets. Closed, the kit takes the shape of a book that opens to reveal the scene.

The recommended age is simply a guideline, many children ages 6 to 8 have successfully built their book nooks and miniature dollhouses on their own, simply by following the instructions provided in the boxes. If your child is used to building with Legos, they'll manage without too much difficulty.
