Glue-free assembly: the pieces slot together. You don't need glue, though a little can help hold a few pieces in place.

Dust panel: a clear plate slides in from the top of the case and protects the scene while keeping it in full view.

LED lighting: a round touch button on the front lights the central pavilion and the water's edge with a warm light.

Book nook details

On the island, pavilions sit on blue mountains. In the center, a large pavilion with blue tile roofs and red balconies is lit from the inside, next to a cherry tree in bloom. A stone arch bridge runs in front of it, and a tall pine grows on the right. Lower down, a woman in a white dress holds a red parasol among the lotus flowers, at the water's edge. At the very top, cranes fly above the roofs, and cut-wood clouds edge the bottom of the scene. Both sides of the case are printed with a mountain landscape in blue and green ink, and a sliding panel keeps the dust off.

Your DIY Book nook Kit includes everything you need to get started: a detailed instruction guide, cutting tools, crafting papers, solid plywood sheets, and LED lights. Due to shipping restrictions, we can't include glue and batteries with your order.

Can I get replacement pieces if something breaks or is missing?

If you have a missing or broken piece, you can contact us and we'll send you a replacement.
Please note that the replacement process may take some time since we're not a large company and we need to individually manufacture missing pieces, which can take a few weeks. But our team will be there to provide you with all the necessary information via email.

Is it too complicated for younger children to assemble?

The recommended age is simply a guideline, many children ages 6 to 8 have successfully built their book nooks and miniature dollhouses on their own, simply by following the instructions provided in the boxes. If your child is used to building with Legos, they'll manage without too much difficulty.

Our book nooks are made of wood, which is completely safe for children and adults. They are certified to safety standards and are free of high-concern chemicals.

Do I need additional tools to assemble my miniature book nook?
